I recently attended my sisters Christmas party, an event that even in my heavy state, I was very excited about! I had wanted to make a Christmassy pie, and I wavered between a pecan pie and a chocolate pie. It wasn’t until I came across Minny’s Chocolate Pie – as in Minny from The Help, one of my favorite novels, and films – that I settled! I even bought a brand new pie dish for it.
Tried and tested baking recipes
I started baking corned beef pies… I don’t know how many years ago, and I’ve always used the same basic recipe that I essentially came up with myself. I use my Bero book for the pastry though, but let’s face it, short crust pastry is short crust pastry!
I am wanting to expand my baking choices so I did quick google search, and found myself back at the BBC Goodfood website.
I’ve been trying to find the perfect recipe, and there are loads online that claim to be the best – the most fudgey, gooey, moist brownies you could ever imagine!
