Graythwaite is a 5000 acre estate overlooking Windermere, featuring a beautiful manor house, several cottages, some of which have been converted from old farm buildings and gorgeous gardens.
I recently attended my sisters Christmas party, an event that even in my heavy state, I was very excited about! I had wanted to make a Christmassy pie, and I wavered between a pecan pie and a chocolate pie. It wasn’t until I came across Minny’s Chocolate Pie – as in Minny from The Help, one of my favorite novels, and films – that I settled! I even bought a brand new pie dish for it.
I am wanting to expand my baking choices so I did quick google search, and found myself back at the BBC Goodfood website.
I’ve been trying to find the perfect recipe, and there are loads online that claim to be the best – the most fudgey, gooey, moist brownies you could ever imagine!
It was so hard to pick from the options, but I’m confident that I made the right choice, because I could eat it over and over again!
For all the buildings are really beautiful and historical, the outside area of The Alamo is stunning. I wasn’t expecting it all! One of the first things you see is the big lawn directly outside of The Shrine, which is lovely but I really liked the The Arcade which is where you wait in line.
